Since January 1, 2010, 26 players have scored centuries batting at No.8 in men's Test matches. Of that group, six have done so on more than one occasion, with one player doing so three times. That player is still part of India's Test set up, and is mostly known for his spin bowling.
The group gained a new member during England's Test against Sri Lanka at Lord's this week, where a fast bowler featuring in his first season of Test cricket scored his maiden Test match hundred in his second match at the venue.
