In modern-day cricket, India's Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are both icons of the game, not least in their own country. Their wickets have been prized by bowlers across formats, the world over and being able to dismiss both would be a nice boost to their CVs.
But if that is a significant achievement, there are very few who claim to have taken both their wickets in the same innings. This has happened on occasion in white-ball cricket, but in Test cricket it is far more difficult.
Only 17 times have both been dismissed by the same bowler in a Test innings. One bowler has managed to achieve this feat twice. This first happened in December 2014, and most recently on September 19, 2024.
