In this quiz, you have to answer ten questions on some unusual gifts and awards cricketers have received over the years.
Official awards for cricketers for international cricket matches began in the 1968 Ashes. In that series, every Test had a ‘Batsman of the Match’ and ‘Bowler of the Match’ for each side. After the five games, there was a Player of the Series as well as a Fielder of the Series.
As more and more sponsors entered the sports, the awards not only increased but became more diverse. However, not every award has been conventional.
And then, there were the gifts – not all of them for particularly noble reasons or, for that matter, legal.
How well do you know these?
