Biography

Zimbabwean born Hilton William Raymond Cartwright is a right handed all-rounder who bats in the lower middle-order and bowls medium pace. After spending much of his early life in Marondera, Zimbabwe, he immigrated to Australia with his family. Cartwright started playing for Western Australia in their U17 squad as early as 2008 and slowly graduated to the U23s and finally to the domestic senior team in 2012. On the back of some good form in a Future Leagues match, he was selected in the Ryobi One-Day Cup against Victoria in the same year. In the 2012-13 season, he was drafted in in place of the injured Pat Cummins. Though, he is yet to put up a substantial performance for the Scorchers, he is one young talent coming up the ranks.
