Biography

Aminul Islam Biplob is a Bangladeshi top-order batsman and a handy leg-spinner. Born in 1999, the young batsman was a part of the 2018 U-19 World Cup. A few months later, Islam made his List A debut representing the Mohammedan Sporting Club. Islam switched to Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan team and came into prominence in his second domestic season amassing 440 runs in 13 matches. Aminul topped his team's run-chart with his extraordinary batting figures and was quick in grabbing the attention of the selectors. Following a successful domestic season in August 2019, he was named in Bangladesh's training camp ahead of the 2019-20 season. The young batsman didn't take much time in entering the international scenario. In the next month itself, he was picked in the national team after Bangladesh decided to revamp their squad midway through the tri-nation series involving Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.
