India captain Rohit Sharma is set to address the media ahead of the start of India's 2024/25 home season in Chennai - here are all the latest updates from Rohit Sharma's press conference two days ahead of the first IND vs BAN Test match.
India's first home Test of the 2024/25 season starts on September 19 in Chennai against Bangladesh. The visitors are coming off the back of a memorable 2-0 whitewash of Pakistan away from home and will have their confidence sky-high.
The Indian team began a camp ahead of the Test series from September 12, with several big names such as Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and skipper Rohit also taking part.

When will Rohit Sharma's press-conference begin?
Rohit is set to address a PC ahead of the Test series, on Tuesday (September 17), from 2pm local time. You can watch the live streaming of the press-conferece on the Jio Cinema app and website here.
Latest squad updates: India to miss Shami
India's premier quick Mohammed Shami is yet to recover from an ankle injury he sustained in November last year, and will skip the upcoming series as well. India have named Yash Dayal in his place, who will be one of the few left-armers to play Test cricket for India in recent times.
Bangladesh have also named their squad for the series, with as many as four quicks. Nahid Rana, the hero of the win against Pakistan, will join Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud and Khaled Ahmed.

Bangladesh series not a preparation for Australia tour
Rohit clarified that India are not looking at this series as a preparatory one for the Australia tour later this year.
"Every game is important while playing for the country, it's not dress rehearsal for Australia series, there is WTC points to take - need to start the season on high".

Rohit said that the message to Rahul has always been to "play all games" and that it is the duty of the management as well to "bring the best out of him".
While the India captain didn't give a clear resppnse on whether Rahul will start ahead of Sarfaraz in the middle order, his answers indicated that Rahul might get the nod.
