In this end of year quiz, you have to name every player who took a men’s Test match five-for in 2022.

There were 35 players who took five-wicket-hauls in men’s Test matches over these 12 months. The player with the most five-fors is a left-arm finger spinner who took four in just three matches for Sri Lanka, all in July.

Only eight bowlers took a five-for on more than one occasion; two players from South Africa, two from Australia, and one each from England, New Zealand, India and Sri Lanka. You have seven minutes to guess all the names and each player’s nationality and number of five-fors they took to help you. Statistics accurate as of December 29, 2022
