In this quiz, you have to name every player to have played for the ICC World XI in an official men’s Test, ODI, or T20I.

The World XI has taken on a variety of forms over the years. However, there are only a few occasions an ICC World XI has played official full internationals.

In 2005, an ICC World XI took on Australia, then the best side in the world, in one Test and three ODIs. That same year, a World XI took on an Asia XI for the World Cricket Tsunami Appeal.

In 2017 and 2018, the concept was revived for three-match series in Pakistan and the West Indies. The former was to help with the full return of international cricket to the country, and the latter to help raise funds for hurricane relief. Really though, these teams were World XIs in name only, even featuring a player who hadn’t played international cricket since 2011.
