The Nineties was an eventful decade for the 50-over game. There were three World Cups which saw three different champions and a slew of tactical innovations as the ODI format came into its own.

Of course, those innovations would never have happened without the players in charge of the teams coming up with them, and as many as 63 men had the honour of captaining their country in ODIs between January 1, 1990 and December 31, 1999.
