Quiz! Every captain to take a men’s Test wicket in the 2010s

by Wisden Staff 5-minute read

In this quiz, you’ll have to name every captain to take a wicket in Test cricket in the 2010s. Can you?

The period under considerations begins from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2019. We’ve considered every player from that time period to take a Test wicket as the designated captain of his team.

In all, that’s 22 players, with two West Indies all-rounders leading the charts with 90 and 57 wickets respectively. A good way to go about this quiz is to think of all captains who bowled in the last decade. However, the quiz is trickier than it seems, given a few batting captains have managed to snare wickets with their part-time bowling.

You have five minutes to name all 22 players. We’ve revealed the total wickets each player has taken while captain of the side, as well the team they represented. All the best!
