Watch: Rishabh Pant took a spectacular diving catch to his left to dismiss David Miller during today’s IPL 2024 clash between GT and DC at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Having won the toss, Delhi Capitals elected to field first. The surface looked to be tacky, as was seen in the second over when Ishant Sharma got a leg-cutter to grip and induced a false shot from Shubman Gill to send him packing.

Mukesh Kumar then got rid of Wriddhiman Saha in the fourth over, getting him to play a short ball onto his stumps before Sumit Kumar displayed athletic brilliance on the field to run Sai Sudharshan out with just one stump to aim at.

Things went from bad to worse for GT when Miller, who had come out to bat at No.4, inside edged a length ball from Ishant Sharma onto his thigh pad, which then deflected towards the wicketkeeper.

Pant, initially wrong-footed, had to make a quick adjustment and dive to his left to take a brilliant tumbling catch.

Pant had a lot more work to do behind the stumps later in the game when in the ninth over, he effected two stumpings off the bowling of Tristan Stubbs.

At the end of 10 overs, GT’s score read 61-6.
