Watch: Kuldeep Yadav forced Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant to opt for a review, and was proven right as he pinned Jos Buttler lbw during the IPL 2024 fixture against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.

Pant summoned Kuldeep to bowl the eighth over with Rajasthan at 35-2. Off the second ball, Kuldeep rapped Jos Buttler, who tried to attempt a reverse sweep, on the pads. The wrist spinner appealed, but the umpire didn’t move. While the height was not a concern as the ball had hit just under Buttler’s knee roll, the question was whether the ball had pitched outside leg. Kuldeep seemed sure straightway went to skipper Pant. Playfully, he took Rishabh’s hands and signalled the T. Replays revealed that the ball was pitching in line, and Buttler was out for 11 off 16.

The entire team celebrated, including Pant, and congratulated Kuldeep for the breakthrough.

In the end, Rajasthan emerged victorious by 12 runs courtesy of a scintillating 45-ball 84 by Riyan Parag. The knocks included seven fours and six sixes.
