With one win – a close one – in three matches, Royal Challengers Bengaluru are ninth on the points table. Part of their woes have had to do with Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, and Rajat Patidar, none of whom has been among runs yet.

But perhaps a greater concern is a lack of bowling depth, particularly in the spin department, where they have to choose between Mayank Dagar over Karn Sharma, with Maxwell as back-up.

Despite the injury concern over captain KL Rahul, the Lucknow Super Giants are better placed.
