Watch: Avesh Khan took a stunning one-handed low catch in his follow-through to dismiss in-form Phil Salt for 10 during Rajasthan Royals’ clash with Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2024 IPL today (April 16).

Salt, who scored 89* off 47 in KKR’s last game on Sunday, was dropped on zero by Riyan Parag today but his second life did not last long as he departed soon after with Avesh taking a brilliant grab. The third ball of the fourth over was bowled on the off stump and Salt looked to flat-bat it straight down the bowler’s head. However, he only managed to splice it back to the bowler as the ball got big on him.

The ball flew to the left of Avesh, who stuck his hand out and managed to hold on, much to his surprise as well.

Salt departed for a 13-ball 10 as KKR lost their first wicket for 21 but the duo of Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshik stitched together 85 in 43 for the second wicket. Narine eventually ended up making his maiden T20 hundred.
