IPL 2021 RR v KKR preview: Dream11 prediction, fantasy tips & probable XI for Rajasthan Royals vs Kolkata Knight Riders

RR KKR Dream11 preview
by Wisden Staff 2 minute read

In the 18th game of IPL 2021, Rajasthan Royals (RR) take Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) – here are some Dream11 fantasy predictions and tips for the game.

Rajasthan Royals have a quick turnaround as they take on Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday, two days after their loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore at the same venue. Rajasthan’s batting has come under scrutiny in the recent games, but on Thursday, RCB tore into their bowling attack with a scything performance.

Kolkata Knight Riders, meanwhile, have had a horrible start to the season and are behind the eight ball as they face Rajasthan Royals on a surface they are still getting used to. Their bowling, especially the fast bowling, has flopped big time and it might be time for KKR to make big decisions.

RR KKR Dream11 Fantasy tips

  • Andre Russell and Jos Buttler are the best two picks you can have on the Wankhede wicket from these line-ups and it’s best to choose your captaincy options from the two.
  • Chris Morris has had a slow start to the season with the ball and hasn’t quite had the support cast to do his job in the death. We think he might still be handy but he is a suspect pick still and can be avoided If you have a different combination in mind.
  • The true surface at Wankhede and the quick outfield should aid Shubman Gill despite concerns around his form. Gill has looked to be more proactive of late and is a good pick for this game.
  • Pat Cummins gets in for his all-round value, but his bowling show last game is likely an aberration if KKR can use him in the powerplay more often.
  • Chetan Sakariya has been impressive with the new ball and is a good pick against a batting line-up prone to collapses.
  • Riyan Parag over David Miller might just work because of the all-round value, but if you do decide to bench Morris, you’ll likely have funds to pick Miller.
