The 2024 draft for the Zim Afro T10 competition will take place on September 8. Here's where to watch the draft live, including TV channels and live streaming details.
Several marquee players have already been directly signed to teams in the tournament ahead of the draft. Each franchise picks their icon and global superstar players before the draft takes place, with up to six local Zimbabwe players selected in each squad.
David Warner and Carlos Brathwaite have been signed by Bulawayo Braves Jaguars, with Cape Town Samp Army signing David Willer as their Icon player, as well as Dawid Malan, Gulbadin Naib and Qais Ahmed as their superstars. Jo'Burg Bangla Tigers have Kusal Perera as their Icon, and have also signed fellow Sri Lanka player Charith Asalanka as a superstar. Other notable names signed before the draft include Haider Ali (Cape Town Samp Army), Colin Munro (Durban Wolves), Jimmy Neesham and Dasun Shanaka (Harare Bolts), and Chris Lynne and Adam Milne (Jo'Burg Bangla Tigers).
There are also some high profile coaches headed to the competition. Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Moin Khan will coach Durban Wolves, while England's Owais Shah will take on the role for Bulawayo Braves Jaguars. James Foster will be Cape Town Samp Army's head coach.
Local players will be split into 12 categories for the draft, which a different side getting first pick in each round. Jo'Burg Bangla Tigers will get the overall first pick in the draft.
Following the draft, the tournament will begin on September 21 and run until September 29.
