The World Test Championship final gets underway at The Kia Oval tomorrow (June 7), with India and Australia battling it out for the victory in the 2021-2023 edition of the tournament – here’s where to watch the match live in the United States and live streaming details.
Rohit Sharma’s side will be playing in their second World Test Championship final, having lost out on the last occasion to New Zealand. This time they will be up against Pat Cummins’ Australia who finished top of the league stage of the tournament. Among the star name’s of the clash are Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara and R Ashwin in the India camp, and Steve Smith, Cameron Green and Mitchell Starc from Australia.
The two sides have already played a significant amount of cricket against each other this year, with the Border-Gavaskar Test series taking place in India between February and March. India came out on top of the four match series, but Australia picked-up a consolation in Indore.
Rishabh Pant will be missing from the fixture, as he continues to recover from a car crash which has ruled him out of all cricket since early this year. Jasprit Bumrah is also suffering from an ongoing back injury, while Ajinkya Rahane has earnt a Test recall after a stunning IPL 2023 campaign. In the Australia camp, Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the fixture to ensure he is fully fit for the Ashes series which starts less than a week after the scheduled end of the final. He was replaced in the squad by Michael Neser, but Cummins has confirmed their bowlers in the XI will not include the Glamorgan pacer.
The first ball of the final will go down at 11am GMT.
