The player auction for the fifth edition of the Women’s Premier League will be held on October 28 in Kochi. Here are the retained players for each franchise.
WPL 2027 will commence from January 14 and will be played until February 7. With preparations beginning in full swing, the franchises have submitted their retentions ahead of the fifth edition of the coveted tournament.
Unlike last season, which included a mega-auction, there is no limit on the number of retentions for this season. The franchises have retained their core groups from the previous season.
The Delhi Capitals did not retain Lizelle Lee or Alana King, while the Gujarat Giants let go of Danni Wyatt-Hodge. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Giants released just four players each, while the three remaining franchises have parted ways with six players each.
