The second edition of the tournament features defending champions India, hosts Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and West Indies in Group A. Shweta Sehrawat finished as the top-scorer in the inaugural edition of the tournament leading her side to glory.

Finalists of the last edition, England are placed in Group B alongside Pakistan, Ireland, and the United States of America. New Zealand, Nigeria, Samoa, and South Africa make up Group C with Australia, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Scotland constituting Group D.
