Women's tri-nation series 2025 squads: Team News | SL vs IND vs SA Women
Led by Chamari Athapaththu, Sri Lanka have announced a 17-member squad, making several changes following their 2-0 ODI series defeat against New Zealand. Among the new additions is Malki Madara, who earned her maiden ODI call-up after an impressive debut in the T20I series earlier in New Zealand, where she played a key role in their solitary win during the multi-format tour. Other changes include the inclusion of Piumi Wathsala and uncapped Dewmi Vihanga in the squad.
For India, the biggest takeaway is the return of skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who was rested during the ODI series against Ireland. All-rounder Sneh Rana and wicketkeeper Yastika Bhatia have also rejoined the squad. However, the fast-bowling duo of Renuka Singh Thakur and Titas Sadhu were not considered for selection due to injuries.
South Africa, meanwhile, lost all-rounder Anneke Bosch due to illness, with top-orer batter Lara Goodall taking her spot. Wicketkeeper Karabo Meso and spinner Seshnie Naidu, both of whom represented South Africa in the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup earlier this year. They will be joined by all-rounder Miane Smit, who travelled as a reserve during the T20 World Cup last year. They will be captained by Laura Wolvaardt.
