The warm-up fixtures for the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will start on September 28. Here is all you need to know about the Women’s T20 WC warm-up schedule, including the full fixtures list, match timings and venues for the practice matches.

Last-minute venue change

The warm-up matches are scheduled to be played between September 28 and October 1. The 10 sides qualified for the event will participate in the practice fixtures, with each playing two matches.

The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in Bangladesh. However, the recent political turmoil in the country has led to its shift to the United Arab Emirates.

Dubai and Sharjah will now host the ninth edition of the tournament, which will feature 23 matches involving ten sides. The Dubai International Cricket Stadium and the Sharjah Cricket Stadium will be the two grounds where the matches will be played over 18 days.

What's the format of the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup warm-up matches?

The matches will be 20 over a side, but will not have T20I status. All 15 members of the squads will be able to play in these fixtures to prepare for the main tournament.

The teams are divided into halves. Group A has defending champions Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and Group B consists of England, South Africa, West Indies, Scotland and Bangladesh.

No two sides which belong to the same group will face each other in the practice matches.
