England Women finally got their World T20 campaign off and running with a win over Bangladesh in St Lucia.
Star of the show was debutant left-arm spinner Kirstie Gordon, formerly of Scotland, who took three wickets to see Bangladesh reach 76-9 from their 20 overs.
Fellow newcomer and left-arm spinner Linsey Smith took her maiden international wicket, while the other wickets were shared around by Nat Sciver, Anya Shrubsole and Sophie Ecclestone.
Bangladesh took two early wickets to leave England wobbling slightly but Nat Sciver and Amy Jones came together to break the back of the chase.

It was left to Jones and captain Heather Knight – after a slight rain delay – to see England over the line and win by seven wickets (DLS). They move on to five points and will face South Africa at the same venue on Friday.
