The 2024 Women's Asia Cup is set to begin on Friday, July 19 - Here's how to watch the competition in different locations around the world on TV and digital platforms.
The 2024 edition of the tournament is set to be the ninth in its history. The inaugural edition was in 2004, where only India and Sri Lanka competed for the title in a five-match ODI series. India swept the series 5-0 to take home the trophy.
India have been the dominant force in the history of this competition, having won seven out of the eight tournaments thus far. Bangladesh is the only other side to have won it, defeating India by three wickets in the 2018 final.
Women's Asia Cup 2024: How many teams are participating?
Since 2004, the tournament has undergone several format changes almost yearly, and this year will see a total of eight teams participating, split into two groups of four.
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka qualified by virtue of being ICC Full Members, while the other four teams – Malaysia, Nepal, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates – qualified via the 2024 ACC Women's Premier Cup.

What format will the 2024 Women's Asia Cup be played in?
The Women's Asia Cup had started as an ODI event and was conducted as such for its first four tournaments. However, since 2012, it has been played in T20I format.
This is particularly relevant this year as it provides the teams with an opportunity to fine-tune their form and tactics ahead of the Women's T20 World Cup in Bangladesh this September.
Women's Asia Cup 2024: When does the tournament start?
The 2024 Women's Asia Cup will begin on July 19. Twelve group-stage matches will be played till July 24, before the semi-finals on July 26 and the final on July 28.
