Jason Roy

130 runs @ 26, SR: 130

A key contributor in both of England’s wins, following up a 31-ball 45 in the second T20I with a half-century in the fourth.

Kyle Mayers

71 runs @ 35.5, SR: 169.04

Came into the side at the top of the order in the fourth T20I and was the explosive presence West Indies needed. He was key in the series finale, getting the innings up and running with a 19-ball 31.

Nicholas Pooran (wk)

164 runs @ 41, SR: 122.38

Made a start in each match – his lowest score in the series was 21 – and went on to really make it count in the third T20I when he blitzed 70 off 43 deliveries.

Moeen Ali

108 runs @ 21.6, SR: 145.94 | 5 wickets @ 18.6

England’s star man in both of their wins, Moeen was particularly brutal in the fourth T20I, when he smashed 63 off just 28 deliveries. Bowled tidily too to finish as England’s second highest wicket-taker.

Rovman Powell

147 runs @ 73.5, SR: 193.42

An outstanding series for the 28-year-old. He hit a match-winning century in the third T20I and elevated the West Indies to a series-winning total in the fifth. He faced 76 balls in the series and sent 14 of them over the rope for six.

Kieron Pollard (c)

69 runs @ 69, SR: 140.81 | 4 wickets @ 28, ER: 7

Marshalled his troops well, played a key role with the ball and turned up with the bat in the decider, bouncing back from a slow start to finish unbeaten on 41 off 25 deliveries in a fine partnership with Powell.

Romario Shepherd

61 runs @ 61, SR: 160.52 | 6 wickets @ 26.16, ER: 12.07

Proved expensive with the ball but still demonstrated promise as a hard-hitting all-rounder – he shined a light on England’s death-bowling problems by bludgeoning 44 off 28 deliveries in the second T20I.

Akeal Hosein

8 wickets @ 15, ER: 7.05 | 44 runs, SR: 275

After taking the new ball to dismiss Jason Roy, he made vital breakthroughs in the middle overs of the series finale. Beyond his canny left-arm spin, there is power with the bat too, demonstrated by the three consecutive sixes he launched off Saqib Mahmood at the end of the second T20I.

Jason Holder

15 wickets @ 9.60, ER: 7.78 | 37 runs @ 18.5, SR: 123.33

The Player of the Series. Holder was exceptional with the ball, swinging it up front while holding his own at the end – he wrapped up the series by taking four wickets in four balls.

Adil Rashid

7 wickets @ 16.42, ER: 5.75

Proved a difficult man to read, with his googly causing the West Indies all sorts of bother. Rashid was England’s best bowler in the series by a distance.

Sheldon Cottrell

4 wickets @ 34, ER: 7.55

Not the finest numbers, but this was a tough series for most of the quicks across both sides. Bowled the penultimate over of the final T20I and didn’t buckle under pressure, conceding just eight runs.
