A Sachin Tendulkar half-century was quickly overshadowed by Yuvraj as he brought back his vintage self to enthrall fans. The elegant southpaw was on six off nine balls when Yusuf Pathan was dismissed in the 17th over, but quickly switched gears, smashing Monde Zondeki for back to back fours.

In the 18th over, bowled by de Bruyn, Yuvraj smashed the second ball for six over cow corner. The next ball disappeared straight down the ground and the one after that over long-on. Off the fifth ball of the over, Yuvraj smashed another, completing four successive sixes.

Perhaps Yuvraj’s most famous feat on a cricket field was hitting Stuart Broad for 36  runs in an over in the 2007 World T20. While he couldn’t have smashed six sixes in the over on this occasion given that he got the strike after ball one, fans hoped he would go for a fifth, but an attempted dab off the last ball of the over beat his bat.
