Marcus Harris was stumped bizarrely during the Australia One-Day Cup match between Victoria and New South Wales at the Junction Oval in Melbourne

Watch: Marcus Harris was stumped bizarrely during the Australia One-Day Cup match between Victoria and New South Wales today (October 25) at the Junction Oval in Melbourne.

On the first ball off the 13th over of the Victoria innings, off-spinner Chris Green, coming from around the wicket, bowled a full-length delivery around the off stump.

Harris tried to play a sweep but missed out as the ball went to wicketkeeper Josh Philippe, who failed to collect it cleanly. In the meantime, the batter lost sight of the ball and left his ground, only to find that it had rolled just beside the stumps. By then, Philippe had collected it and whipped the bails off to complete a bizarre stumping.

Harris’ dismissal reduced Victoria to 86-2, triggering a collapse. The chasing team were evenly bowled out for 196, losing their last seven wickets for 105 runs. NSW won the match by 140 runs, with Charlie Anderson and Green picking up three wickets each.
