Watch: In a light-hearted moment on the field, Virat Kohli was seen engaging with the crowd with a whistle display on day two of the second Test in Chennai.
For the first time since March 2020, fans were seen in the stands for an international fixture in India, and Kohli ensured that the crowd at Chepauk got an engaging experience.
With ‘Whistle Podu’ being the anthem of the Chennai Super Kings, the India skipper had a perfect way to interact with the fans. He made whistling gestures towards the crowds, asking them to chime in with their versions. With the skipper of Royal Challengers Bangalore, an arch IPL rival, choosing to go for the whistle, the crowds reacted with excitement almost immediately. India were on top thanks to their excellent bowling performance on a turning track, which helped both Kohli and the fans to engage with each other in a buoyant mood.
