Kohli, who ended with his 28th T20I fifty in the fifth and final game of the series, was on a boundary-hitting spree through the game, including two hits over the fence.
One of them was a perfectly timed six off a 147 kph bouncer from Mark Wood, that sailed over the fine leg fence. The sweetly-timed shot was so exquisite that even Kohli himself couldn’t help but let out a hearty laugh while walking towards opening partner Rohit Sharma.
He then excitedly pumped his fist, pointing his bat at the dressing room with the smile intact on his face.
During the third T20I, Kohli had taken 17 overs off Wood’s final over during his knock of 77*. The bowler himself was in awe of the Indian captain’s innings, calling the first six off him “a hell of a shot”.
Kohli ended with a 52-ball 80*, powering India to 224-2, their fourth-highest T20I score ever.
