Virat Kohli is one of the most revered cricketers of his generation. A run-scoring machine in all formats of the game, his standing as an all-time great is already assured.

His bowling, however, takes somewhat of a backseat compared to his work with bat in hand. To date, across 425 international matches, Kohli has just eight international wickets despite being thrown the ball in 71 different innings.

One of those wickets was none other than Kevin Pietersen. In a one-off T20I between England and India in 2011, Kohli struck with his very first delivery. Kohli fired the ball down the leg-side and with Pietersen off balance, MS Dhoni whipped off the bails with the England batsman well out of his crease.

The clip of the wicket was part of a compilation video recently shared by the ECB of notable instances of batters dismissing established batsmen. The likes Sachin Tendulkar, Joe Root, Alastair Cook and Marcus Trescothick all feature in the video.
