After getting bowled out for 296 in the first innings, India needed to start on the money with the new ball in the second innings to try and get early wickets. They did just that as Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj got the new ball talking, just like they did in the first innings.

Siraj had taken the wicket of Usman Khawaja in the fourth over of the first innings. He repeated the feat, only that this time it was David Warner who fell in the fourth over of the second innings.

Kohli, who has a habit of engaging the crowd when the fast bowlers are running in with momentum behind them, was at it again at the Kia Oval. Standing at second slip, he asked the crowd to join in and cheer as Siraj ran in to bowl. The crowd obliged as they clapped in a chorus with Siraj running in.

This used to be a familiar sight when Kohli was the Test captain, especially in home Test matches. However, despite not being captain anymore and despite this Test match being played at a neutral venue, Kohli did not shy away from orchestrating the crowd when the opportunity came.
