Mustafa took the celebration in his stride, confirming later that the moment was all in good fun.
The incident took place during the Cricket World Cup League 2 clash between the two sides. During the 46th over of the UAE innings, Kami got the better of Mustafa with a sizzling yorker. He then ran towards the batter, leaping and slapping him on the back. Another Nepal player was seen congratulating Mustafa for his 73-ball 60.
This incident was later referred to in social media as an example of “True spirt of the game”.
Not many can do this to @rohanmustafa88 on a cricket field and escape the wrath unless you are @Sompal_Kami. In fact, a bowler to a batter in an international match. Wait for it. 😇#TrueSpiritoftheGame #Friends #NEPvUAE #UAEvNEP #CricketTwitter pic.twitter.com/VsAshMea1n
