Watch: Tom Curran floored Nicholas Pooran with the perfect yorker that caused the MI Emirates batter to lose both balance and his wicket during an ILT20 clash against Desert Vipers.
Pooran, batting on 57, was the lone man standing for his team after they had lost early wickets and had been reduced to 53-3 in the ninth over. His innings was laced with four boundaries and two sixes, which came to a halt after a stunner from Curran.
Curran bowled a yorker on the leg-stump on the penultimate ball of the MI Emirates’ innings. Pooran was unable to work it around. His bat failed to come down on time, it breezed past his legs before flooring him and then went on to rattle the stumps behind.
Pooran’s 49-ball innings helped his team post 169-5 on the board, but it was not enough as Vipers chased it down with ease, with seven wickets and 3.3 overs to spare.
