Australian TV presenter and former Aussie Rules professional Tony Armstrong had a humorous moment on screen overnight.
Armstrong was reporting on the news for ABC News Breakfast that the Australia Test captain was set to undergo surgery on his neck ahead of this winter’s Ashes and while trying to describing the reason for the surgery – a bulging disk – Armstrong inadvertently blurted, ‘bulging d***’.
Armstrong said: “Australian skipper Tim Paine is set to undergo neck surgery but medical staff remain confident that the veteran will be fit for the Ashes. Paine has a bulging d*** that has been … disk that has been — that’s a funny one — has been causing him pain.”
The comment was enjoyed by Armstrong’s co-presenters who struggled to contain their instinctive reactions. After the video was widely shared online, Paine responded in a tweet, saying, “True story actually.”
