Watch: Suryakumar Yadav picked up two identical catches in the slips, jumping up and stretching full-tilt and grabbing the ball with both his hands, during India’s third T20I against New Zealand.

Chasing 235 to seal the series after a stunning batting display by Shubman Gill, New Zealand got off to the worst possible start, losing Finn Allen to just the fifth ball of the innings. The opener slashed a short of a length delivery towards slip, with the ball appearing to go over Yadav, who was stationed there. However, he showed excellent reflexes, timing his jump to perfection and grabbed the ball with both hands to send Allan back for a four-ball three.

The India batter replicated the dismissal a few overs later when he sent Glenn Phillips on his way with another blinder while being stationed in the slips. Phillips tried to play a cross-batted shot off a length delivery by Hardik Pandya, with the ball taking the outside edge and flying over Yadav again. For the second time in the game, he leapt up, had both his feet up off the ground and completed a stunning catch over his head.

New Zealand were ultimately bowled out for 66-10 after they were reduced to 21-5 as India clinched the game by 168 runs – a record margin of victory in a men’s T20I between two Full Members.
