Watch: India batsman Suryakumar Yadav was caught watching the fours and sixes from his maiden international innings.
Yadav, 30, was India’s biggest success story in their 3-2 win over England in the T20I series. Coming into the side on the back of consistent domestic performances, Yadav took to international cricket like a duck to water. He did not get to bat on his India debut and was dropped in the next game, but was brought in for the fourth and fifth T20Is.
Yadav grabbed the opportunity with both hands, winning the Player of the Match award in his first T20I innings. He smashed 57 runs off just 31 deliveries, including six fours and three sixes.
In a heartening moment, Suryakumar Yadav was seen watching those boundaries after the game. Like any newcomer, he looked excited about his India debut, albeit a little shy after being caught on camera.
