Watch: Daryl Mitchell was right in the thick of it as a sub fielder in New Zealand’s third T20I against Pakistan, taking a sublime diving catch to dismiss Haider Ali.

Mitchell entered the fray after Martin Guptill went off the field in the sixth over of Pakistan’s chase of 174, and was immediately thrust into action.

Scott Kuggeleijn managed to induce a leading edge from Haider, with the ball lobbing up high towards cover, where Mitchell was stationed. Running back as the ball travelled over him, Mitchell leapt spectacularly to hold on with his right hand.

Mitchell’s impact didn’t stop there; he took two more catches in the match – but Pakistan ended up victors, winning by four wickets.
