Watch: Kamran Akmal dropped an easy catch during the first match of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) between India Maharajas and Asia Lions, leaving fans in splits.
The Pakistan wicketkeeper, who was noted for dropping sitters in his playing days, brought back old memories as he failed to take a regulation catch during the first match of the LLC on Thursday. The second over of India’s innings, sent down by former Sri Lanka seamer Nuwan Kulasekara, had opener Naman Ojha outside edge a delivery to Kamran behind but he ended up dropping what should have been an easy catch.
Fans on Twitter could not stop seeing the funny side of the incident, noting how “some things never change”.
Batting first, Asia managed 175-7 in their 20 overs, with Kamran scoring 25 in 17. India Maharajas went on to chase the target in 19.1 overs, courtesy of a brilliant 40-ball 80 by Yusuf Pathan.
