Watch: A fox stopped play at the Kia Oval, interrupting Surrey's T20 Blast clash against Hampshire.

The Surrey v Hampshire game had an unlikely visitor, a fox that sprinted onto the Oval outfield before making its way around the playing the arena. The fox made its appearance in the sixth over of Hampshire's innings: as Chris Jordan prepped to bowl at Toby Albert, the cameras shifted focus to the brown blur sprinting along the greens.

There was no manual intervention needed, as the furry animal, usually associated with Leicestershire, found its own way out, jumping across the Vitality boundary boards and into the pitch covers parked beyond the boundary.

The game resumed soon after: Toby Albert carried Hampshire to 183 all out in 19.5 overs, with Sam Curran starring in the chase, hitting his maiden T20 century off 58 balls, to seal a five-wicket win with five balls to spare.

Cricket has always found bizarre ways to delay games. Cats, dogs, monkeys and even snakes have invaded grounds in the past. Now you can add foxes to the list.
