Watch: Shreyas Iyer smashed a 111-metre six in India’s second T20I against Australia, helping secure a series-sealing victory at Sydney Cricket Ground.

The blow came in the 18th over of India’s chase, with the match situation precarious. With 15 balls to go, the tourists needed 35 runs to win, and Iyer had no choice but to swing hard at Adam Zampa. Slogging to the leg-side, he connected beautifully, sending the ball way over deep midwicket and into the stands.

The Indian dugout applauded, with a pumped-up Virat Kohli high-fiving his teammates. Moments later, the data came through showing just how far the ball had travelled, with a graphic showing it had flown a massive 111 metres.

From then on, India were unstoppable. Iyer hit another boundary two balls later before Hardik Pandya took charge, smashing 23 runs off the last seven balls of the game to seal victory with two balls to spare.
