Watch: Shreyas Iyer rolled his arm over for Mumbai in the Buchi Babu tournament on Tuesday, and chose to imitate his IPL teammate Sunil Narine's action while doing so.

Mumbai took on TNCA XI in a match that was highly-anticipated for the star names that would be involved. On one side were Pradosh Ranjan Paul, Baba Indrajith and R Sai Kishore, and on the other the likes of Sarfaraz and Musheer Khan, and Shams Mulani. To add to this, India internationals Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav joined the Mumbai side for this, the final group match.

With Mumbai bowling first, neither Iyer nor 'SKY' were likely to be heavily involved. However, towards the end of the day, with the score at 287-5, Mumbai captain Sarfaraz tossed the ball to Iyer for the final over of the day.

Iyer, who captained Kolkata Knight Riders to the IPL title this year, sprung a surprise as he ran in for his first delivery. Having bowled leg-spin before in his career, that was the expectation.

However, Iyer gripped the ball behind his back and ran up to the bowling crease in an imitation of his IPL teammate, Trinidadian mystery spinner Sunil Narine. He did not quite have the same success, though, going wicketless and conceding seven runs.

This is not the first time Narine has given rise to a 'copycat', as Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza also modified his action to Narine's a few years ago.
