India’s last two tours of Australia have had their fair share of memorable stump mic moments, both good and bad.
On their previous trip Down Under, Tim Paine’s interaction with Rishabh Pant, where he asked the Indian youngster whether he was available for babysitting duties, went viral on social media.
In the current Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, Paine’s verbals towards Ravichandran Ashwin on the final day of the SCG Test got the Australia captain in hot water, leading to an apology from Paine the following day.
On the penultimate day of the series there was a moment from Rishabh Pant that falls firmly into the former category. With Australia 197-5 with Paine and Cameron Green at the crease, Pant was heard singing the well known Spiderman theme song in the middle of an over from Washington Sundar.
