The Pakistan squad called-up local pacer Kashif Ali to bowl in the nets during a training camp for the upcoming Australia tour.

Kashif bowled some unplayable line and length against the Pakistan batters, beating them both on the outside and inside edge. He also rattled ace batters Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan on numerous occasions, generating excitement as a prospect for future Pakistan squads.

Kashif had an outstanding domestic season. While playing for Rawalpindi in the 2023-24 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, he picked up 26 wickets from seven games at an average of 25.23 with three five-fors to his name to finish as the fourth-highest wicket-taker. Following his exploits in the first-class tournament, he claimed ten wickets from five matches at 16 apiece at the 2023 Pakistan Cup.
