Naseem Shah missed the World Cup 2023 as well as the subsequent tour of Australia following a shoulder injury sustained during the 2023 Asia Cup. For the first time since going under the knife, the firebrand pacer had hit the nets.
Shah did not show any obvious signs of rustiness as he uprooted a lone planted stump on numerous occasions. In the net session, the familiar delivery stride, the snapping of the wrist during release and the zip all seemed to be in sync.
The fast bowler is in the final stage of his rehabilitation at the NCA and is under the close watch of a strength and conditioning coach, a physiotherapist and a doctor.
