Watch: Former India captain MS Dhoni played golf with former US President Donald Trump on his trip to the country, and the video expectedly has gone viral across platforms.

Dhoni, who was seen attending the US Open men’s singles quarterfinal match between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev, was hosted by Trump at his golf club, Trump National Golf Club Bedminster, a day later. In a video shared by entrepreneur Hitesh Sanghvi, Dhoni is seen playing a shot on the golf course, while Trump looks on intently.

Later, the duo also posed for pictures, and the unexpected crossover led to plenty of reactions on social media.

Previously, Trump, the 45th President of the United States, was invited by current India Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the inaugural ceremony of the Narendra Modi International Stadium in 2020. Addressing the public at the stadium in Ahmedabad, Trump was quoted as saying, “This is the country where your people cheer on some of the world’s greatest cricket players – from Sachin Tendulkar to Virat Kohli. The greatest in the world.”
