The inaugural edition of the Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023, a T20 competition will see eight teams participating – which also includes the ‘A’ teams of four countries: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
The teams have been divided into two groups, A and B, as follows:
Group A: Pakistan A, Hong Kong, India A, Nepal
Group B: Bangladesh A, Sri Lanka A, UAE, Malaysia
The tournament began on June 12, with the final to be held on June 21. All matches will take place at the Mission Road Ground in Kowloon, Hong Kong.

India A take on Hong Kong on June 13 in the second match of Group A.
The India team is led by Shweta Sehrawat, the vice-captain of the triumphant India side at the 2023 U19 Women’s World Cup. The side also contains a number of her teammates from the same team, as well as top performers from the Women’s Premier League and domestic cricket.
Hosts Hong Kong are led by Kary Chan – the side recently featured in the Women’s T20 East Asia Cup 2023, where they emerged winners.
