Peshawar Zalmi are playing a 15-over-a-side exhibition match against Legends XI on Saturday (August 30) to help the victims of recent floods in Pakistan. Catch all the highlights of the match here.
Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has experienced widespread damage due to recent floods and heavy rains, leaving thousands displaced. To aid flood victims, Pakistan Super League franchise Peshawar Zalmi, led by captain Babar Azam, announced a charity exhibition match. The initiative is supported by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Department and the local government. The match is being played at Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar.
Babar Azam, who was recently left out of Pakistan’s T20I squad for the Asia Cup, has been named captain of Zalmi XI. The squad also includes Pakistan-capped fast bowler Ihsanullah and Maaz Sadaqat, who was part of the Pakistan Shaheens squad in the Top End T20 Series.

Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq is leading the Legends XI. He is joined by other Pakistani stars of yesteryear such as Waqar Younis, Younis Khan, Saeed Ajmal, and Shoaib Akhtar, who all evoke a sense of nostalgia.
Inzamam's fightback goes in vain as Zalmi pip Legends XI by six runs
Babar top-scored for Zalmi XI with a 23-ball 41, as the hosts posted 144 in 14.4 overs. Fans were treated to the never-before-seen spectacle of Babar facing former speedster Shoaib Akhtar. Ajmal, who was part of Pakistan's runners-up campaign in the World Championship of Legends, took two wickets. The Legends XI’s chase never really took off, as they were teetering at 58-6 after nine overs.
Inzamam (46 not out off 23 balls) and Azhar Mahmood (34 not out off 15 balls) then staged a solid comeback for their team before falling short by just six runs.
