TNCA XI had chosen to bat first in this second-round match at the Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Sciences Ground. The stars with the bat were B Indrajith (167) and S Lokeshwar (99), as their efforts powered their side to 393. Haryana put up 218 in reply, only thanks to rearguard efforts from Dheeru Singh (74) and Jayant Yadav (65).
TNCA XI captain Sai Kishore led from the front with the ball, as he opened the bowling and returned figures of 7-76 in 29.4 overs. On day three, he picked up the wickets of both the set batters Dheeru and Jayant to help bowl Haryana out cheaply.
On day two he had accounted for Amit Kumar, Nishant Sindhu and Sumit Kumar.
Sai Kishore's figures after his 26th over read 3-71. He got his last four wickets in just 22 balls, putting on a splendid show against Haryana.
