Labuschagne, whose legbreaks also featured in the County Championship, has taken a wicket in each of his Blast appearances this season. In the Surrey v Glamorgan match at the Oval, Labuschagne, who earlier had made 74, picked up two of the five wickets to fall, ending with figures of 2-31 from his four overs.

After claiming the wicket of top-scorer Jason Roy, Labuschagne returned to make another breakthrough, even though it came in not-so-pretty fashion. Operating at his usual extended run-up, he hurled one outside off to No.5 batsman Overton, a delivery which ended up angling out even further.

The ball may have even been a wide had it been left alone, but Overton was tempted into chasing it. The ball then met the outside edge on its way to wicketkeeper Chris Cooke to complete the dismissal.

As the umpire raised his finger, the Glamorgan players converged to celebrate, but Surrey were well on course for a win, which they completed with ten balls to spare.
