Watch: Jos Buttler was adjudged out by the third umpire after the ball was caught via his boot on day three of the second Test between England and Sri Lanka.
Attempting to reverse sweep debutant Ramesh Mendis, Buttler ending up directing the ball onto his boot, with the rebound landing in the hands of Oshada Fernando at short leg.
Given not out by Kumar Dharmasena, the decision was referred by Sri Lanka, with the TV umpire adjudging that there was no contact between the ball and the ground.
Buttler departed for 55, his 18th Test half-century.
