After South Africa were put in to bat by India, Nadine de Klerk went to ground in obvious discomfort early on in her innings. Goswami was first to help the South African, helping her remove her pads and stretch her leg.

The gesture won hearts on social media. Goswami was excellent in the game, returning figures of 4-42 to help bundle South Africa out for 157. She was adjudged Player of the Match.
